This year’s Volunteers’ Fair is about shouting about our wonderful volunteering community and making it more visible in the Borough. Barnet is strengthened by its interlinked network of community groups, organisations and individuals who work together harmoniously to make it a better place. If you’ve not already, Monday 3 June 2019 is your chance to become part of the positive change that these residents are creating.
We will also be celebrating Barnet's unique diversity. As the London Borough with the highest population, Barnet is a melting pot of faiths and ethnicities. With the socio-economic challenges we face today, it’s important we celebrate our ability to work together in one community. We will be teaming up with the Jewish Volunteering Network (JVN) to bring you the Volunteers’ Fair; working together to inspire inclusive volunteering across the Borough.
The Fair, which will take place at the bustling Brent Cross Shopping Centre, is an opportunity for everyone in the community to meet and build a better Barnet. In addition to celebrating our veteran volunteers, this event is a chance to inspire people to volunteer and welcome newcomers. If you want to find out how to get involved and donate your time, this is the perfect opportunity to find out more.
Every hour of volunteering counts, so whether you microvolunteer at the fair or find a more regular role, your attendance makes a difference. There will be the opportunity for individuals to meet organisations and find out more about their volunteering roles. If you are an organisation and would like to have a stall at the fair, let us know.
