Anti-Muslim Prejudice and Islamophobia in Schools

by Tell MAMA UK

Hear from experts and community voices about the discrimination, bullying and anti-Muslim prejudice experienced by children in schools.

About this Event

Tell MAMA, the only national and independent monitor of anti-Muslim hate crime, would like to invite you to a public discussion on Islamophobia and anti-Muslim prejudice in schools. Tell MAMA provides confidential assistance to those who experience anti-Muslim prejudice, abuse, racism, discrimination, and Islamophobia in the UK. Our groundbreaking research is shaping government policy, including the Hate Crime Action Plan.

We are looking to hold an event which aims to empower parents, students, and teachers to better understand how to deal with examples of Islamophobic and anti-Muslim bullying, racism and discrimination. Discussions will also cover the complaints processes in schools, how to talk to children about bullying, and how the Equality Act 2010 can challenge discrimination in schools.

We have a range of speakers from the Department of Education, civil society organisations and experts in the field of education.

We look forward to having you with us on the day, to secure your place, please RSVP to:
